History:

The Weminuche Tree Farm was started in 1994 with alot of help from family and friends. Most notably my Mother and Father who in retirement can still work the tail of most people half there age, and a good friend who is a long time tree farmer well known for growing some of (if not the best) evergreens in the area. There is definitly more to it then planting a seedling in the ground and waiting for it to grow into a tree.

The farm consist of 168 acres of rolling appalachian foothills, most of which is hardwood forest and borders Muskinghum Watershed Land and Clendening Lake. Ohio's least developed Lake. Currently we have about 7,000 evergreens in stock, mostly Blue Spruce. This is small compared to most of the big tree farms, however we feel we can supply a limited number of customers with superior quality nursery stock at a reduced price.

Hand planting:

All our trees are hand planted into our fields to ensure proper root growth.

Premium quality transplants:

We only plant top quality transplants (3-2 or 3-3) originating from premium seed stock known for there superior characteristics.

Top Quality Management:

All of our trees receive intense management in the form of weed, pest and disease control. All stock has been state inspected and certified.

Fresh Dug, Balled and Burlap:

All trees are fresh dug. We use top quality wire baskets and burlap. The clay loam soils in our fields have proven excellent for well-proportioned growth; density and colors in our trees. As well as a nice tight root system and transplant survivability.
